We are located in a beautiful and historic small town in Central East Texas , about an hour from Houston.  The venue is in the old downtown, in an old building with lots of space for all class activities.

Housing and meals are readily available. There are several Bed & Breakfasts within walking distance.

The Olds College Master Spinner Certificate Program

consists of six progressive levels of classroom

and independent study involving skill development,

research studies, and project assignments in the area of

hand spinning of all major types of fibers, yarns and the

end use of the spun yarns.

 

Each level is followed by an independent home study

portion for those students working towards certification.

This home study portion will require at least 100 – 150

hours of work.

 

At all levels, students are evaluated on the basis of

written assignments, practical projects, oral presentations,

and skill development.

 

Three College credits are earned upon successful

completion of each level. Those individuals who

successfully complete the assignments in all six levels

will receive a Master Spinner Certificate from Olds College.

We are located in a beautiful and remote location in the Hill Country of Texas (approx. 45 min from Uvalde and 35 min from Concan).

For your convenience we will be providing housing and meals for $300 (onsite) and offering an extra night at no cost if you prefer to leave the day after the course ends.

We will also have a place for RVs with hookups (electrical, water but no septic dumping). There are showers and bathrooms available for campers. Cost is $7.50 a night. Food will be charged separately in this case ($100 for all meals).

You may also choose to arrange your own accommodations if you prefer. Do not hesitate to contact me if you would like more information or have questions!
